Bespoke wardrobe with bench and cushion.

For a private client in Copenhagen.

In the spacious main entrance of their apartment, the clients wished for a beautiful and large wooden wardrobe with a lot of storage space. A design supporting the rhythms of their everyday life, offering ease, function and honest materials. 

In close collaboration with the client and the cabinetmaker, we have created a wardrobe that is intuitive to use and with natural surfaces, strong enough to withstand daily use.
The oiled oak wood, with a warm honey tone, brings calm and warmth to the space. It is hand built in finest quality and made to last and age beautifully over the course of years.

With a floor plan offering only a few right angles, this space needed quite a specific arrangement.
The two cabinets are angled and joined together with a soft curved detailing of the corner, together with the curved detail of the bench, greeting the existing curves of the old house.

Handmade in finest uncompromising quality by Helles&dePlace, locally at their workshop in Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District.
